Sibstrin srudents participated in the all-russian dictation in english for the fifth time
On November 30, 2022, the students of NSUACE (Sibstrin) participated in the All-Russian Dictation in English, the initiative of which belongs to Kazan Federal University. Its main goal is to increase the motivation of students to learn foreign languages and the level of proficiency of the English language norms.
The All-Russian Dictation in English is held for the fifth time in NSUACE (Sibstrin). The organizer of the university platform is the Foreign Languages Department. About 50 students have participated in the dictation this year.
The head of the Russian Language Department of NSUACE (Sibstrin) – Raisa Satretdinova, the director of the Institute of International Activities of NSUACE (Sibstrin) – Natalya Sineeva, and the first vice-rector – the vice-rector for scientific activities of KFU? Dmitry Tayursky addressed the participants with welcoming speeches.
Nadezhda Morozova, the senior lecturer of the Foreign Languages Department, introduced the rules of dictation writing to students. She also read the text of the dictation, which was devoted to the Internet development, innovation and the introduction of digital technologies in different spheres of life. The participants had a difficult task: to listen to the text in English and, in pauses, to write it after the announcer, observing all the rules of English spelling and punctuation. The English dictation consisted of 417 words (16 sentences) and lasted 40 minutes.
By the decision of the verification commission, Gleb Ryabov (110b group) became the winner of the All-Russian Dictation 2022 from NSUACE (Sibstrin). The awardees from the university were Ksenia Spekhova (125 group), Anton Biryukov (110a group), Maria Usarova (116a group), Alexander Vorobyov (120a group). The winner and awardees of the dictation will be awarded diplomas. The participants who are not among the winners will receive electronic certificates of participation.

Polushina, Senior Lecturer of the Foreign Languages Department. All of them will be marked by Letters of Thanks from the organizers of the All-Russian English Dictation
It is notable that in 2022, the dictation was held in more than 400 organizations of higher educational institutions, secondary and vocational educational schools and general education, uniting more than 30 000 students from 60 regions of Russia and 7 countries – Serbia, Denmark, Afghanistan, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
