The international seminar was held with the participation of NSUACE (Sibstrin) and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Republic of Belarus)

On March 1, 2022, the international seminar on construction science was held on the basis of the Institute of Civil Engineering within the framework of cooperation between Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Republic of Belarus).

The seminar was prepared jointly by the Department of Structural Mechanics of NSUACE (Sibstrin) and the Department of Technical Mechanics of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and was held in full-time and remote format. The reports on their scientific work were presented by the heads of departments: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Marina Tabanyukhova “Introduction of additive technologies in the photoelasticity method” and Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Barsukov “Structure and properties of composite construction reinforcement”.

Vladimir Gvozdev, the Director of the Institute of Civil Engineering of NSUACE (Sibstrin), Alla Volik, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Vladimir Molodin, the Head of the Department of Technology and Organization of Construction of NSUACE (Sibstrin) noted the high importance of this seminar for strengthening and developing inter-university and international research relations.

"We are glad that we managed to organize a joint seminar. The studies of composite reinforcement held by the speaker from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the Head of the department of technical mechanics, Vladimir Barsukov, is now intensively developing. I am sure that our experience will be interesting and useful to your employees. And of course, we hope for further cooperation in the field of construction science”, said Alla Volik, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belarus.

"Scientific contacts must be kept and developed constantly”, said Vladimir Molodin, the Head of the Department of Technology and Organization of Construction of NSUACE (Sibstrin). - Therefore, this seminar and the international conference of NSUACE (Sibstrin) in April “Actual issues of architecture and construction”, and the scientists of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno are invited to participate, are important. I hope you will participate and have the reports. It will help to move the interaction between our universities to a new level, contribute to the preparation and publication of articles of coauthors, the publication of articles by your scientists in our journals, which are indexed in Scopus and HAC (Higher Attestation Commission)”.

The participants of the seminar were also the students of NSUACE (Sibstrin), who, under the guidance of employees of the Department of Structural Mechanics, more than once became the winners and prize-winners of scientific conferences held by the University of Belarus.

Currently, the Institute of Civil Engineering NSUACE (Sibstrin) has strong connections with Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Last fall, within the framework of the state programme “Visiting Professor”, implemented with the support of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, the teachers of the Institute of Civil Engineering gave lecture courses for the students of the university Belarus. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was visited by Marina Tabanyukhova, the Head of the Department of Structural Mechanics of NSUACE (Sibstrin), and Alexey Likhachev, the professor of the same department. During the visit, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor A.V. Likhachev held lecture classes in the disciplines “Resistance of the Materials” and “Structural Mechanics” to the students of the second and third years of training “Industrial and Civil Construction” of the Civil Engineering Faculty of Yanka Kupala State University.

At the same time, the Head of the Department of Technology and Organization of Constructions of NSUACE (Sibstrin)Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vladimir Molodin gave lectures in a remote format for the students of the fourth year of training “Industrial and Civil Engineering”.

It should be noted that Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) is actively developing cooperation with many universities of the Republic of Belarus. In June 2021, NSUACE (Sibstrin) and the two largest universities of Belarus, Brest State Technical University and Belarusian State Technological University, signed the cooperation agreements. We have also signed the cooperation agreements with the Belarusian National Technical University and Belarusian-Russian University.
