The Director of the Institute of Civil Engineering, Vladimir Alekseevich Gvozdev noted that after the silent period caused by the pandemic of coronavirus infection the international activity begins to resume.
“The integration with fraternal Belarusian universities is an important task. There are not enough doctors of sciences in a number of universities in the Republic of Belarus. In this regard, the state programme “Visiting Professor” was started. The participation in this programme is the only one element of cooperation. We are also developing scientific bonds, and we have real results such as, for example, joint research on the strengthening of coastal reinforced concrete structures, which is carried out by the Department of Technology and Organization of Constructions NSUACE (Sibstrin) with the Belarusian National Technical University. We continue the academic exchange of students and teachers. This year it is planned to send students to the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to study and practice, to hold joint scientific projects and conferences with several Belarusian universities”.
