Rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin) participated in the Panel Session on Resilient City and Smart Development Under the 5th China-CEEC Capital Mayors Forum & the 5th BRAUIC Conference

On November 19, 2021, an online Panel Session on Resilient City and Smart Development was held as a part of the 5th China-CEEC Capital Mayors Forum. The events were chaired by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (China) and the University of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Yury Skolubovich, rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin), took part in the work of BRAUIC consortium. In his video message, he welcomed the participants and expressed confidence in expanding cooperation with international partners.

It’s worth reminding that starting from 2019 NSUACE (Sibstrin) is a full member of Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC), the main task of which is international coordination, promotion of innovation research, student and teacher exchange and the establishment and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and foreign architectural universities.

The session was attended by the representatives of 30 universities from 14 countries of the world, including the Chairman of BRAUIC, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee and President of BUCEA Zhang Dayu, the Head of the Department for Urban Planning, Investment, Housing and Communal Affairs of Sarajevo Merima Arifhodzic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), heads of universities from China, Russia, Greece, Bulgaria, Armenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Indonesia.

During the panel session, BRAUIC Development Declaration and BRAUIC Five year Action Plan 2021-2025 were announced, proposals for Global Campus Exchange Programs for summer schools were discussed, BRAUIC Letters of Intent for New Member Universities were signed. Within the framework of 5th  BRAUIC Conference, there was a panel session on resilient city and smart development held, where the speakers were professors and experts from China and CEEC Countries.
