The Center for Technosphere Safety, Environmental Management and Water Use was opened in Belarus in cooperation with NSUACE (Sibstrin)

The Rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin), Corresponding Member of RAASN, Professor Yuri Skolubovich takes part in the II Republican Forum of Young Scientists of Higher Education Institutions, which takes place on May 17-23 at Belarusian-Russian University (Mogilev, Republic of Belarus). The purpose of the forum is to popularize education and science among young people; support talented young people and highlight their developments.

More than 100 representatives of the universities of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation attended the Forum, including students, master’s students, postgraduate students and the staff. The First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Bakhanovich, made a welcoming speech at the opening of the Forum.

One of the significant events of the Forum programme was the grand opening of the Center for Technosphere Safety, Environmental Management and Water Use Technologies, established by the Belarusian-Russian University and Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin).

Also, during the opening of the center, the programme of international cooperation was signed between educational institutions of the two countries for the next two years. The document was signed by the Rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin), Yuri Skolubovich and the Rector of BRU, Mikhail Lustenkov.

As the Rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin) Yuri Skolubovich noted, this Center will combine several important areas. “One of them is the international cooperation. Another important area is joint developments with Belarusian colleagues, joint training programs for young people and students. Belarus, as well as the Russian Federation, is faced with the task of educating a completely new and creative generation of industrial leaders who will raise our countries even higher and develop them. In the future, this development can be planned on the basis of the knowledge that they receive on the basis of the center”, emphasized Yuri Leonidovich.

In addition, the Center will provide an opportunity for further communication between young scientists and teachers of the two countries, mutual enrichment. “An exchange programme for environmental students is already planned for the summer. We will conduct eco-school training, the school works  in Novosibirsk for a long time. And we plan to transfer it to the base of the Belarusian-Russian University. We also plan our students will actively communicate with students from Mogilev, represent our region and our achievements, as well as get acquainted with your students”, said the rector of NSUACE (Sibstrin).
