Testing Centre for Foreign Citizens

The Testing Centre for Foreign Citizens was founded in NSUACE (Sibstrin) on the basis of the agreement with Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow). It has been functioning for more than 7 years.
The Centre's staff consists of experienced and well-disposed tutors. They are constantly raising their level of proficiency at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow) and have certificates of testers.
Testing for foreign citizens is held at the Centre every Wednesday according to the following directions:
- Complex Exam (for getting a patent);
- Test for permission for temporary residence;
- Test for residence permit;
- Test for knowledge of Russian (the basic level, the first level and the second level);
- Test for getting the citizenship of the Russian Federation.

The Centre holds testing according to the following directions:
- levels of knowledge of the Russian language;
- for getting the citizenship of the Russian Federation;
- for getting a patent;
- for permission for temporary residence;
- for residence permit.
Group lessons are organized to get prepared for testing.
Every Tuesday before the exam a consultation is held.
Testing in Russian consists of 5 subtests:
Vocabulary/ grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking.
Those who pass testing successfully are given a state certificate valid for 5 years.
Testing for levels of knowledge of the Russian language
Testing is held according to three certified levels:
- the basic level (A2)
- the first level (B1)
- the second level (B2)
Testing takes 2 days.
The certificate of the first level gives the right to enter any higher educational institution in Russia.
Testing for getting the citizenship of the Russian Federation
Testing of foreign citizens or persons having no citizenship is held according to the Federal Law of May 31, 2002, № 62 – FL “About the citizenship of the Russian Federation” and Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation № 2606 of June 20, 2003.
Since January 2015 according to the Federal Law of April 20, 2014, № 185 – FL “On Making Changes in the Federal Law “About Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” a complex exam including Russian as a foreign language, history of Russia and fundamentals of the Russian Federation legislation was introduced.
The Complex Exam is taken
- to receive a patent;
- to receive permission for temporary residence;
- to receive residence permit.
At the complex exam general knowledge of Russian, basic knowledge of history of the Russian Federation and fundamentals of Russian legislation must be demonstrated. The exam isn’t difficult for those who have the basic knowledge of Russian, know the main dates and names of Russian history, who are acquainted with legislation. The successful result shows that a foreigner is ready to get adapted to living in Russia.
In the Testing Centre at NSUACE (Sibstrin) hundreds of foreign citizens have successfully passed exams and received state certificates. Testing takes place in comfortable rooms in friendly and business-like atmosphere.
