Similar events have been held at NSUACE (Sibstrin) since 2017 http://en.sibstrin.ru/summer_schools/ . Previously, students and scientists from the University of Belgrade (Serbia), Incheon National University (South Korea), scientists from the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the leadership of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Novosibirsk Region took part in scientific schools. The events of the Schools included not only lectures, master classes and practical exercises, but also excursions to objects of the city of Novosibirsk on the subject of Schools, events of a social and cultural nature.
On September 22-23, 2020, the Second Siberian-French Online Higher Education Salon was held with the support of the French Embassy in Russia. The event was co-organized by Novosibirsk and Tomsk State Universities, Alliance Francaise - Novosibirsk, and Campus-France. The purpose of the event was to develop and deepen existing contacts between France and Siberia in the field of higher education and academic science, create new partnerships. From the Russian side the meeting was attended by the universities of Siberian cities such as: Novosibirsk (NSUACE (Sibstrin), NSU), Tomsk (TSU, TPU, TUSUR), Irkutsk (ISU, ISMU, IRNITU, BSU), Krasnoyarsk (SFU), Tyumen (Tyumen State University) and others. From the French side, the following universities took part: Higher Polytechnic School, Higher Institute of Aerodynamics and Space, Higher National School of Bridges and Roads, Higher Engineering School, Lorraine Polytechnic University of Nancy, Polytechnic University of Nantes, Higher Paris School of Telecommunications, Higher National Engineering School of the City of Limoges, Graduate School of Mining Engineers Albi-Carmo, University of Paris-Saclay (branch of the Paris Graduate School)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany within the framework of the Russian-German Year of Scientific and Educational Partnerships (2018-2020), with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, as well as coordinators of the Year – the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" (NUST "MISIS") (from the Russian side) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as well as the German House of Science and Innovation (DWIH) in Moscow (from the German parties) in the spring of the ongoing year held an open Russian-German competition "Russia and Germany: scientific and educational bridges". Its goal was to popularize, strengthen and promote the development of existing ones and the formation of new partnerships between representatives of the scientific and educational communities of Russia and Germany.

It is always very exciting and responsible to receive foreign partners, especially from a country such as Japan that is famous for its loyalty to traditions, courtesy, and curiosity. We are always very responsibly to prepare festive events in order “not to lose the face”. It resulted in the fact that delegations from different institutions of Sapporo city in Japan showed interest in NSUACE (Sibstrin). The representatives of the international department, the engineering and technical department of the University of Hokkaido visited us in spring and autumn of 2019. The following issues were discussed at the meetings: the steps to conclude an agreement on cooperation, the student exchange, the implementation of the international competition of sketched projects to improve the territory of Novosibirsk city dedicated to the 30th anniversary of twinned relations with the city of Sapporo, Japan.
The spring elective course “Applied Aerodynamics” held in English was organized as part of the European Erasmus+ program for students of a consortium of Novosibirsk universities (NSU, SSUGT, NSTU, NSUACE (Sibstrin)). This was an updated course of the professor, head of the laboratory of the University of Stuttgart, Uwe Gaisbauer, Honorary Professor of NSUACE (Sibstrin). Ten undergraduate and graduate students from all the university departments took part in this course. The first part of the course consisting of 8 online lectures was held by the German scientist in February-March 2020. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the planned visit of Professor Uwe Gaisbauer intended to continue the course offline was canceled, and lectures were fully implemented in online format. Lectures were held in English without translation, but with accompanying material (English-Russian glossary with terms and concepts used).
